Mid Monty – 22km Run

Course Description

The Mid Monty is a course that’ll test even the seasoned runner! The Mid Monty course takes participants from Long Bay along the beach and rocky coastline to Browns Bay and on to Milford. (Note: There are some small swimming sections throughout the first few kms and some very slippery rocks, too.) Once arriving at Milford you’ll have a short wade or swim across the estuary mouth before getting back on your feet and heading south again along Milford Beach. Once around the rocky trail and along Takapuna and Cheltenham Beaches you’re then on the final home stretch (only 1km of pavement!) to Windsor Reserve in Devonport. A great course and adventure, with a tad more water interaction than the two shorter courses!

  • 4.6km (with R-Line electrolyte drink, water, chips & biscuits)

  • 11.7km (with R-Line electrolyte drink, water, chips, biscuits & oranges)

  • 15.5km (with R-Line electrolyte drink, water, chips, biscuits & lollies)

  • 18.5km (with R-Line electrolyte drink, water, chips, biscuits & lollies)

*Please remember your own cup/bottle/hydration pack as there will be no disposable cups provided at drink stations

Course Terrain
Sand, flat rock, small and large boulders, estuary/water & footpath

Water Interaction
There will be plenty of interaction with the water on this course including some small swim/wade sections throughout the first few kms and a short swim across the Milford Creek. Not suitable for phones or non waterproof electronic devices.
