Full Monty – 33km Run & Teams Relay

Course Description

The Full Monty, the pearl in the Coastal Challenge Series line-up and the course every Coastal Challenge enthusiast aspires to! The Full Monty course will begin at Arkles Bay in Whangaparoa with a short run before you head down on the first of two estuary swims around Okura. Once you’re out of the water and have a shake off you’re heading along Long Bay beach and then around the rocky coastline to Browns Bay and on to Milford

Note: The Full Monty starts at high tide, so there will also be a lot of interaction with the water throughout the first half of the course with multiple swimming/wading sections throughout, especially between Long Bay and Murrays Bay, plus the Wairau Creek in Milford.

Once around the rocky trail and along Takapuna and Cheltenham Beaches you’ll be on the final home stretch (only 1km of pavement!) to Windsor Reserve in Devonport. It’s called the Full Monty for a reason, but one hell of a race!
