What to Bring on Event Day

CATCHING THE BUS

All we require is your first and last name when hopping on the bus next to Windsor Reserve. Make sure you allow plenty of time to find a park in Devonport and walk to the reserve.

Double check your bus departure times here https://www.coastalchallenge.co.nz/courses-maps.html

REGISTRATION

There will be a registration tent at each of the start locations and all you will need is your first and last name to register. We will give you a timing transponder (to go on your shoe or around your ankle if you are in a team) and a race number with safety pins.

GEAR BAG

If you are taking any extra kit to the start, we will have bag tags available and will bring this back to the finish for you, where you can collect it from the gear tent. We will have a limited number of disposable bags but ask that you please bring a bag for easier handling – and less waste.

DRY BAG

If you intend to run with a bag or any personal items, it is best to have these personal items in a dry bag as well. This will keep them from getting wet as you make your way down the coast.

LUBRICATION

I have said it before, and ill say it again… if you are doing the Mini, Mid or Full Monty, bring or wear some lubrication between your thighs and on your nipples – Vaseline works a treat.

ONCE FINISHED

There is a good chance you will be wet or at least damp once finishing your event, so it is best to bring a towel and a spare change of clothes. This can stay in your gear bag you take to the start, and we will have it waiting for you at the gear tent when you finish.

Throw some coins in your gear bag too as Hospice North Shore will be doing a sausage sizzle on the finish line - in true Coastal Challenge form.
