For 40 years Harbour Hospice has been providing world-class, specialist end-of-life care to our local community.
Today, and every day, we support 360 patients and their families ensuring that they experience the highest level of care, compassion, and support…free of charge.
We do all of this with the help of fundraising superstars like you. The funds you raise help us to provide nursing and medical expertise to manage pain and other symptoms. And you’ve offered wrap around care through spiritual, cultural, emotional and social support (that includes loved ones too).
With your continued support, the best hospice care possible will reach the ever-increasing number of people who need it each year. Thank you.

Fundraise for Harbour Hospice and be in to win!
For individuals: Taking part is as easy as one, two, three!
1. Simply sign up through Grassrootz and create your own fundraising page.
2. Then spread the word! Tell your friends and family about your challenge and ask them for support. Harbour Hospice will be one of your biggest cheerleaders and send you lots of fundraising tips and tricks.
3. Be in to win! Start fundraising through Grassrootz before 10 February 2024 and go in the draw for these amazing prizes!
· Fundraise just $50 and be in the draw to win a double kayak (thanks to Container Door) PLUS a $50 Burnsco voucher (thanks to Burnsco Gulf Harbour)!
· Raise $250 and win an event t-shirt PLUS stainless steel drink bottle!
· Hit $500 and receive an entry into the 2025 Coastal Challenge event!
For teams: Bring together a group of friends, staff or colleagues to make a difference, and compete for the ‘Coastal Charity Champions’ title! Previous champions The Warehouse Albany, Pak ‘n Save Albany, Pak ‘n Save Wairau Park, BNZ Partners & Babcock NZ have set the bar high, run hard, had fun and raised incredible amounts for Harbour Hospice.
Your Cargo Plus Coastal Challenge team will receive points for every individual finisher in each distance. This will be added to every dollar raised for Hospice, which will determine your final score. The more money your team raises for Harbour Hospice, and the more people on your team across the finish line, the greater the chances of your team winning the title.
Beach Hopper Finisher - 25 points
Bay Scrambler Finish - 50 points
Mini Monty Finisher - 75 points
Mid Monty Finisher - 100 points
Full Monty Finisher - 125 points
The team with the highest combined score will be crowned ‘Coastal Charity Champions’ for the year!
Simply head to our Grassrootz page and start fundraising. Remember to select the team option and either choose an existing team or create a new team if you are the Team Captain.
