Run for Charity
Why Not Run One of the Coastal Events and Raise Money to Support People in Hospice Care At The Same Time?
We are proud to have Hospice North Shore & Warkworth/Wellsford as our Charity Partners for the Colliers Coastal Challenge. Both charities support people in their communities who are living with life-limiting conditions, as well as care for their families.
By ‘Running for Hospice’ you will be supporting people in the North Shore & Warkworth/Wellsford communities, who need Hospice care.
It’s easy to ‘Run for Hospice’. Create your own on-line fundraising page, then tell your friends and family about your challenge and ask them for their support. Then enjoy your Colliers Coastal Challenge knowing you are making a real difference! Hospice will support you all the way.
Could Your Relay Team Be This Year's "Coastal Charity Champion"?
Run for Hospice for the ‘Coastal Charity Champions’ title. Enter a relay team to go up against the Hospice Hobblers. Just like The Warehouse Albany, Pak ‘n Save Albany & Wairau Park and BNZ Partners did in 2016.
Your Colliers Coastal Challenge team will receive a point for every dollar raised for Hospice, which will be added to your relay team’s placing on the day. The more money your team raises for Hospice North Shore, the greater the chances of your team winning the title.
The team with the highest combine score will be crowned ‘Coastal Charity Champions’ for the year.

Cure Kids are thrilled to be involved in the Colliers Coastal Challenge, and are looking for eager runners to join us to help make a difference to health outcomes for our children.
Cure Kids are New Zealand’s leading child health research charity, and our vision is a healthy childhood for everyone.
Funds raised from the Colliers Coastal Challenge will go towards vital medical research to help extend, improve and save the lives of kids both here and around the world.
Cure Kids are the only charity in New Zealand that funds research across a broad spectrum of child health. We have funded, or are currently funding, research investigating better treatments and cures for inherited heart conditions, cystic fibrosis, childhood cancers, sudden unexpected death in infancy (SUDI), stillbirth, burns and child and adolescent mental health, among many others.
With the support of generous New Zealanders, we are determined to address alarming health statistics including:
- Each year in New Zealand 100 children and young people die from inherited heart conditions
- Up to one in four Kiwi children experience a significant mental health issue before adolescence
- 40,000 hospitalisations each year in New Zealand attributed to conditions associated with deprivation
- 50 babies die each year from SUDI, previously known as cot death.
Take on the Colliers Coastal Challenge for Cure Kids, and together let’s give our children the best chance of living a healthy childhood.
