Coastal Challenge Series Welcomes Colliers

Colliers run head into tough Coastal real-estate

Colliers International is excited to announce its naming rights sponsorship of the Colliers Coastal Challenge. Colliers has been looking for a sporting event offering wide appeal to attach its brand to for some time, and it’s confident the Colliers Coastal Challenge is exactly that.

Total Sport’s mantra is “great events, stunning locations” – and Colliers knows a bit about the importance of stunning locations too with its dealings in commercial property. “But that ‘tenuous link’ certainly wasn’t the only appealing fit for us,” says Colliers’ Auckland managing director, Charles Cooper. “Wellbeing, teamwork, tenacity and opportunities for client and family involvement are values important to both Colliers and the Colliers Coastal Challenge, so we couldn’t be happier with the partnership we’ve made.” Total Sport has created an inspiring event and Colliers is also constantly looking to engage and reward its staff – this event provides another opportunity to do so.

It is also an example of the importance Colliers’ places on culture, and just last month Colliers International was named New Zealand’s third best workplace for medium-large organisations in the IBM Kenexa Best Workplace Awards 2014. Colliers intends to create ‘close to 100% staff engagement’ for the two Auckland based events, and it challenges other businesses to do the same. “Not everyone needs to run to get involved,” says Cooper. “There is everything from a six kilometre ‘beach hopper’ walk, being a team supporter and the very popular post-race bbq – so it’s an event that literally offers something for everyone.”

The two Colliers Coastal challenges are: North Shore Saturday 7 March, 2015 and Tawharanui Saturday 25 April, 2015.
